Sermon Publisher Privacy Policy

Effective November 3, 2026

Sermon Publisher is an internal tool used by Milton Community Church staff and volunteers to publish sermon videos to the church’s own Vimeo and YouTube channels and website. It is not offered to the public.

What the app accesses. With permission from the church’s Google account, the app uploads sermon videos, thumbnails and captions to the church’s YouTube channel, and reads and adds to the channel’s playlists. It uses YouTube API Services to do this.

What the app stores. Sign-in credentials are stored only in the Keychain on the church’s computer. Sermon files, transcripts and related details are stored on that computer or its attached drives. Transcripts and summaries are created on that computer.

What the app does not do. The app does not collect information about website visitors or YouTube viewers. It does not sell or share information, and it does not use cookies or advertising.

Third-party services. Videos uploaded to YouTube are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Removing access. The church can remove the app’s access at any time from the Disconnect button in the app or in Google account permissions.

Sermon Publisher Terms of Service

Sermon Publisher is a Mac application operated by Milton Community Church (“the church”). The church’s staff and volunteers use it to prepare sermon recordings and publish them to the church’s own video channels and website. By using Sermon Publisher, you agree to these terms.

Who may use it
Sermon Publisher is for use by people the church has authorized. It is not offered to the general public. You may connect only accounts and channels that you are authorized to manage for the church.

YouTube and other services
Sermon Publisher uses YouTube API Services to upload videos, thumbnails, captions and playlist details to the church’s YouTube channel. By connecting a YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Use of Google accounts and data is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Sermon Publisher also connects to Vimeo. Your use of that service is subject to its own terms.

Your responsibilities
You are responsible for what you publish through Sermon Publisher. You must have the right to publish it, and you must review titles, descriptions, transcripts and other text before publishing, including any text prepared with automated tools.

Disconnecting
You can disconnect YouTube at any time in the app’s Settings. You can also remove the app’s access from your Google Account permissions page.

No warranty
Sermon Publisher is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. The church does not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will keep working with outside services.

Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the church is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Sermon Publisher.

Changes
The church may update these terms or stop offering Sermon Publisher at any time. Updates will be posted on this page, and continuing to use the app means you accept them.
