The early church devoted themselves to teaching God's Word, fellowship, prayer, and breaking bread together (Acts 2:42-47). They did this when they gathered for worship, and as they met together throughout the week. They met in one another’s homes, shared meals, and created community. 

Community Groups are an intentional means for developing life-on-life relationships to help us apply the gospel to all of life. Community groups are the primary place for connection in our church. Participation in a community group does involve commitment and sacrifice. While the church carefully cultivates rich environments for meaningful relationships to develop, each of us must make involvement in a community group our priority.

Our Community Groups enable include all ages, and they meet on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of every month at 5:00pm (with a break in the summer). On the 1st Sunday of every month all of our groups meet at the church for a Prayer Gathering, and on the 5th Sundays we host a Fifth Sunday Fellowship for everyone.

 

COMMUNITY GROUP SCHEDULE:

  • 5:00pm – Meet at host home

    • Host homes are intended to be geographically based.

  • 5-5:30pm – Fellowship

    • Groups share food and fellowship as we grow our relationships.

  • 5:30-6pm – Sermon Application Discussion

    • The leader facilitates a discussion on how to apply that morning's sermon to our lives.

    • Childcare is determined and arranged by each community group.

  • 6-6:30pm – Prayer

    • Men and women separate for intentional prayer.

  • Minister to all ages and life stages.

  • Meet primarily in homes.

  • Foster meaningful relationships.

  • Apply the Scriptures.

  • Pray for one another.

  • Share life together.

  • Serve together.

  • Unify the church.

  • Develop new leaders.

  • Invite and include outsiders
