October Outreach

During the month of October, we focus on outreach with multiple events. The month always starts with the Crabapple Fest on the first Saturday. Last week God held off the rain and gave us a lovely day. We had a great team of volunteers for our tent, and we served thousands of people. Crabapple Fest gave us a chance to show up in our community and connect with our neighbors.

Then, this Sunday immediately after morning worship we have a shoebox packing party for Operation Christmas Child. Susan D. and her team are planning a great event for us. They will have pizza for lunch; a festive, Christmas atmosphere; and supplies to pack lots of shoeboxes. The packing party gives us a chance to reach boys and girls around the world with the gospel.

Next, on Sunday, October 25th, from 5:30-7:00pm we are hosting Trunk or Treat in our front parking lot. We will have bouncy houses and at least 25 decorated cars or trucks to hand out candy. Last year we had a good turn out with cold, rainy weather. Please sign up now on our SignUpGenius.

Finally, pray for God to use these October outreach events. Events are important, but they do not replace direct evangelism. Events provide face-to-face environments for us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. And we share the gospel through our verbal witness, gospel literature, and church worship. Ask God to bless our events so we can faithfully evangelize our neighbors.

In Christ,

Pastor Nathan
